The Everpure Claris Ultra is the world’s first filter cartridge family designed using a new, patent-pending water filtration and conditioning technology which effectively combines mineral reduction and corrosion protection within one compact unit. As a result, Claris Ultra helps you achieve the best quality brewed coffee, espresso and hot drinks in addition to helping make clear, hard ice cubes.

• The Claris Ultra's first-in-the-world technology is an engineering breakthrough and features a two-step process that combines partial hydrogen softening and sequestering:
• Step 1: Softening – Ion Exchange: Alkalinity softener and decarbonization.
• Step 2: Sequestering – Stabilizes mineral content using sequestering anions.
• The result is a balanced alkalinity and mineral composition in water, with stable and close-to-neutral pH which helps prevent limescale formation. The process delivers the ideal ingredient water for enhancing coffee flavors and aiding in the proper extraction of the coffee bean and grind.
• Adjustable, DUOBLEND™ bypass valve allows for the precise adjustment of carbonate hardness – tailor hardness levels to meet your desired water recipe.
• Reduces chlorine taste and odor and other offensive contaminants that can adversely affect the taste of beverages
• Improves the taste of fountain beverages and helps retain the drink's carbonation
• Claris Ultra offers higher capacities versus traditional Claris due to its added sequestering agent which allows more blended water to go through the DUOBLEND bypass, putting less stress on the resin thus slowing its exhaustion.

Sizing

• Service Flow Rate: Maximum 0.5 gpm (2.0 Lpm)
• Rated Capacity: 584 gallons (2,250 L) for Espresso
• 660 gallons (2,500 L) for Coffee/OCS
• This capacity is based on influent water hardness of 180 ppm with standard bypass settings.

Installation Tips

• The system can be operated freestanding, lying horizonally or mounted vertically.
• If mounting vertically to a wall, securely connect the mounting backet to the wall using suitable screws.
• Water pressure at the filter system inlet must not exceed 116 psi (8 bar). A pressure reducer valve must be installed on the water supply side of the filter system if the inlet pressure exceeds 116 psi (8 bar).
• Shutoff valve must be installed upstream of the filter. Refer to Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manual for cartridge flushing and startup.

Operation Tips

• Change Claris Ultra Cartridge when its precalculated water volume has been reached or at least once per year
• Always flush the filter cartridge at time of installation and cartridge change.
• Do not use hardness test strips to check for hardness reduction. Please use a titration kit to check for hardness reduction.
