Melitta® Connect
With the Melitta® Connect App many of the features on your fully automatic coffee machine can be managed with your smart phone. For example, appliance settings can be managed conveniently and personal My Coffee Profiles can be programmed and saved. Practical tutorials assist you with cleaning and maintaining the appliance. A special highlight with this app is that you can create your very own coffee specialities. The order in which the ingredients are poured into the cup, the amount of coffee, frothed milk and hot water and further coffee settings can be managed individually.

Thanks to the product buttons you can make the 4 classics espresso, café crème, cappuccino and latte macchiato at the touch of a button. The recipe book feature allows you to create 17 further coffee specialities such as flat white, ristretto, americano or espresso doppio.

One Touch
The Barista TS Smart® impresses because it is so easy to use. The preset coffee varieties espresso, café crème, cappuccino and latte macchiato can be selected with just one touch. You can also select warm milk, frothed milk or hot water really simply and conveniently with One Touch.
All-in-One outlet
Separate nozzles for coffee, milk and hot water mean it is easy to make your favourite drink without moving the cup. The outlet also has integrated LED illumination and is height adjustable up to 140 mm, so there is space even for tall latte macchiato glasses.
PRO AQUA Filter technology
If you use a Melitta® Pro Aqua Water filter then the Barista TS Smart® only needs to be descaled once a year. The filtered water not only improves the quality and the flavour of your coffee, but also prevents limescale deposits building up in the water system. (This is based on brewing six 120 ml cups of coffee a day and changing the filter six times in accordance with the appliance specifications.)
Removable brewing unit
The brewing unit is practical, easy to remove and easy to clean. This also allows the inside of the machine to be cleaned.
Plug-in milk system
Removable milk system with with an external, dishwasher-safe milk container which fits in every fridge.
Manual Bean Select
To perfectly prepare numerous coffee specialities, different types of coffee beans are needed to ensure the best possible taste experience. Therefore, the Barista T Smart® has a two-chamber bean container called “Bean Select“ (manual selection), which depending on the recipe and personal taste allows you to select mild coffee beans or strong aromatic espresso beans for example. The integrated ground coffee chute also gives you the opportunity to use coffee which is already ground.
My Coffee Memory
You don‘t want to set your personal coffee preferences each time you make a coffee? No problem! With the “My Coffee Memory“ feature you can programme your favourite coffee specialities completely individually. The Melitta® Barista T Smart® saves the preference settings for up to 4 people.
Italian Preparation Process
The Italian Preparation Process gives you authentic flavour by ensuring that the ingredients are added in the correct order according to the original Italian recipe. So for latte macchiato the espresso is added after the milk and frothed milk and for cappuccino it is the other way round.

About Melitta
In 1908, Melitta Bentz, a 35-year-old housewife from Dresden, Germany, invented the first coffee filter, receiving a patent registration for her "Filter Top Device lined with Filter Paper" from the Patent Office in Berlin on July 8. She founded the company bearing her name the same year. In the 1930s, Melitta revised the original filter, tapering it into the shape of a cone and adding ribs. This created a larger filtration area, allowing for improved extraction of the ground coffee. In 1936, the widely recognised cone-shaped filter paper that fit inside the tapered filter top was introduced. The '102' became the most popular.
Melitta has continued to develop new techniques to improve the shape, performance, material and production process of its filter systems.
