Kinto was originally founded more than 40 years ago to bring fine porcelain and ceramics to Japan. As of 2009, Kinto has shifted more toward the export of fine Japanese tablewares to the rest of the world.

The designs of Kinto teapots, coffee pots and other kitchenware are continually fresh and unique, while maintaining the Japanese sensibility of conscientiousness and usefulness.

To give shape to a product idea, their in-house team works on determining the design elements. Sometimes, they also collaborate with outside product designers. The final product is a result of many trials and experiments, which Kinto believes will bring a pleasant experience to all people that use it.
