Description

Hario Cold Brew Coffee Pot 600ml

The Hario Mizudashi Cold Brew Coffee Pot makes it effortless to prepare cold brew coffee. Its 600ml capacity is perfect for brewing up to 5 cups of smooth, full-bodied coffee. Designed for simplicity, this cold brew coffee maker allows you to extract coffee flavours slowly, reducing acidity and enhancing the natural sweetness of your beans.

Cold Brew Made Simple

Unlike traditional hot brewing, cold brew coffee is extracted at a lower temperature, preventing oxidation and delivering a smoother, well-balanced cup. The fine mesh filter ensures optimal extraction while keeping sediment out, creating a rich and refreshing brew.

How to Make Cold Brew Coffee with Hario Mizudashi

  • Prepare the coffee: Place 50 grams of ground coffee into the strainer. Use a medium-fine grind and dark-roast beans for best results.
  • Insert the strainer: Align the "O mark" on the strainer with the centre of the spout and secure it in place.
  • Add water: Pour water slowly over the coffee grounds in a circular motion. Stop when the water level reaches the middle of the handle band (approx. 650ml).
  • Stir gently: Lightly mix the coffee grounds with water to enhance extraction. Avoid using sharp objects, as they may damage the mesh filter.
  • Refrigerate: Attach the lid and place the pot in the refrigerator. Brew for 8–12 hours for a smooth, balanced taste. Adjust the time to your preference.
  • Finish brewing: Remove the pot from the fridge and take out the strainer. Leaving it inside too long may cause over-extraction and bitterness.
  • Pour and enjoy: Serve your cold brew over ice or dilute it with water or milk to taste.

Tips for Making the Best Cold Brew Coffee

  • Water quality matters – Use soft water or filtered water to enhance flavor
  • Do not overheat – If warming your cold brew, avoid boiling as it can oxidise and alter the taste
  • Consume within 2-3 days – Cold brew coffee is best enjoyed fresh to prevent oxidation
  • Coffee-to-water ratio may vary – The final yield depends on the type of coffee grounds used
